Staying healthy

Novo Nordisk provides a BUPA healthcare scheme which is available to all UK employees. This is supplied free of charge to the employee but is seen as a taxable benefit. You can include your family at preferential rates.

Sick Leave (UK)
If you are in receipt of Statuary Sick Pay from the Company or of State Sickness Benefit from the Social Security Office, the Company will make up such sum to the level of your full salary for the first 26 weeks of absence on aggregate in any 12 month period commencing on your first day of absence through sickness or injury.

Sick Leave (Ireland)
If an employee is absent from work through sickness or injury for a period exceeding 3 days, they are entitled to receive statutory sick pay, which the company will claim on their behalf and add to, in order to bring up to normal salary. This will normally continue for a period of 120 working days.

For those people based in the UK office, we provide a gym which can be used by staff to maintain their fitness.
